Clothes, Fashion and Me Trying to Fit into the Teenage World

Hello

Ok. I have no idea how many blogposts I'm going to post today. I think this is the last one. Anyway, yeah.

See the title? Today (or tonight but whatever it's not like you care anyway) I'll be talking about the clothes I own and how I think I don't have clothes but actually I don't know how to style them or I was too stupid to buy stupid clothes gosh I'm so dumb.

Honestly, [starts singing Honestly by Hot Chelle Rae]

I have a lot of clothes. Well not a lot like a celebrities walk in wardrobe full of clothes and crap they spend on but a lot as in uh. . .  a lot?

Whatever it is, I have a lot of clothes and most of them I find ugly or unsuitable for me, a so called overly dramatic teenager who want to fit in a group the society made which I call 'The Cool Kids' who never seem to run out of money when they spend clothes and look cool/beautiful/gorgeous/hot (that or they bought those drop dead gorgeous clothes on discount)

I want to look like those teenagers but here's the thing,

  1. I have the shittiest choices (or usually my dad but it's my mum who buys me clothes) when picking clothes
  2. Religious views. This is a must to think when buying clothes. For example:
  • Can people see my skin?
  • Is this too fitting? Is this too tight?
  • Is this against Islam?
  • Does this make me look like a whore who lives near the dumpster and gets cash by sucking random dicks?
I admit, I am lucky to have parents (or now parent) who works and gets enough income for my family and extra stuff (aka my stuff) and I am thankful for the clothes I have but then I used to have this crappy choice when it comes to clothes. You see, I use to (still do) follow fashion trends or try to follow my friends fashion taste. For example, one time my friend wore a plaid flannel shirt and looks really really reaaaaaally cute on it so I bought a few (yes, a few. by a few I meant around six) plaid flannel shirts. When I wore them, I looked like a total guy (or at least that's what I thought). So, I didn't wear any of them. . . My mum kept complaining because I was so into this fashion trend thing. Well, sorry but I need to fit in.

The trend I'm 'following' right now is buying branded clothes aka H&M, Forever 21, Uniqlo (not really). If you don't know this (but I think you do), Forever 21 is an expensive brand for a teenager. Actually, that's what my mum said. I couldn't disagree because when I went there I bought this acid wash skinnies and it was about RM100+ (plus tax and whatnot). I mean RM80+ for jeans are ok I guess but RM100+ is insane but I bought them (and this is the part where you call me a spoilt brat). Luckily, I didn't regret buying them because I am in love with them.

Anyway I had this phase where I had the worst choices when buying clothes. Like seriously, I need to clean my wardrobe but then my mum will complain about me not appreciating what I have. Good lord(e)!

Anyway (I use anyway and so a lot. oopsies) I need to start googling fashion trends that are 'suitable' for me. In other ways, ha ha ha I suck at being a cool teenager ha ha.

Thanks for reading, darlings,

xoxo
